REVIEW: Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation
After seeing a great deal on this foundation (CVS ExtraBucks reward of $5 back plus a $2 coupon in the paper bringing the grand total of this foundation to $2.49) I knew I had to try it, if for no other reason than the great price. Honestly, until I saw the coupon I didn't even know that this foundation existed.
Maybelline describes it as:
Revolutionary whipped formula provides an air-soft, perfect matte finish coverage, with a weightless feel.
Application-The mousse style meant it went on softly and felt like I wasn't wearing any makeup at all. I do think the tin though could be a breeding ground for bacteria after awhile; after all you're dipping your fingers into the product unlike other foundations where its disbursed on your hand or brush.
Coverage-It was very lightweight coverage though and I think it would be hard to layer this without looking like you were wearing foundation.
Look-Very natural looking. Although this product was labeled matte, I thought it was a natural-looking finish and didn't think it covered up my oily forehead.
Other comments-Since it was moussey, I thought it might make my skin break out. To my surprise, it didn't!
Overall, a good product. I'm happy with it especially for $2.49.

Going to Walgreens?
Buying our beauty products at drugstores like Walgreens can end up saving you big money. Drugstores typically have buy one, get one free (BOGO) offers or buy one get one 50% off-of course there's always coupons too which drive up the savings.
Before going, do your research. Check out http://fromwagstoriches.entempore.com/ The good women who blog there have done their research on Walgreens (and are a little obsessed with Walgreens to boot.) The best part-you go to the blog and see the best deals at Walgreens that week! Also be sure to look at your circular.
Did ya know-Walgreens lets you stack coupons. Take the Wags coupons from their circulars and manufacturer's coupons to get a double deal.
Walgreens also has a great rebate program. The EasySaver Catalog often has FREE AFTER REBATE (FAR) items and many others with great money back items. A few months ago, the FAR items were FREE Revlon lip gloss, Revlon foundation, and Almay mascara.
